POSITION: Certified Peer Specialist
Salary: $20,000.00 annually
Description and Primary Purpose of Position:
This position of moderate difficulty is responsible for providing a variety of case management and outreach interventions to consumers in their natural environment. Individual serves as advocate in assisting consumers in accessing community resources, teaching and modeling self-help and coping skills.
Minimum Training & Experience:
A Certified Peer Specialist certificate, or certificate eligible within six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more years in recovery.
Problem Solving / Decision Making Skills:
Must have excellent assessment and crisis management skills. Candidate will work closely with metro area hospitals, city/county jails and courts. Must be able to negotiate system boundaries.
