Location: Coffee Behavioral Health/Peer Support Closing date: Open until filled
Annual Salary Range: $32,139 - $37,499 commensurate with qualifications
Job Description: Responsible for leading and assisting peer participants in all phases of peer support day program to include transporting. Provides site based individualized support and community integration in an effort toward recovery from mental illness and/or substance abuse. Assist in development and practice of skills defined on consumer Wellness Recover Action Plan (WRAP) Provides documentation and collaboration with all team members including psychiatrist on a regular basis.
Job Responsibilities: Primary schedule will be Monday – Thursday @ 9 hours, Friday @ 4 hours.
Competencies: 1. Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria 2. Knowledge of how client advocacy system operates 3. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques 4. Knowledge of various therapeutic models and intervention as directly related to area of assignment 5. Knowledge of individual and group therapy techniques
Required Minimum Qualifications: Valid Georgia driver’s license and clear MVR for transporting peer participants. Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in behavioral health related field AND Georgia Certified Peer Specialist. Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) or eligible within one year of hire. Masters degree and experience working in a peer environment is preferred.
