Job Description
Provides Skills training and connects individuals with resources that will allow Individuals to live, learn, work, and socialize in their environments of choice.  Provide service interventions focusing on wellness, identification of strengths, self-advocacy in connection with goals as identified by the individual’s assessment and treatment plan.  Provides services to designated/assigned peer groups.  Attends scheduled treatment team meetings and staff meetings.  Completes and submits all clinical documentation/weekly progress notes.  Ensures assigned caseload of individuals has a active authorization before providing services.  Maintains certification as a CPS (Certified Peer Specialist).  Collaborates with psychiatrist, nurse practitioners, Program Directors, within SBHS.  Must be dependable/flexible.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to feel and/or handle objects, tools, controls; reach with arms and hands; hear, and speak.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.  The employee must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift or move 24 pounds or more.   The employee may encounter various levels of emotional strain or tension.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a Certified Peer Specialist.  Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience as a case manager.  Experience in documentation through electronic medical records.

Manager for the CARES Warm-line (GA Council on Substance Abuse)


Georgia Council on Substance Abuse (GCSA) is hiring a
Manager for the CARES Warm-line:
Telephone and text line for individuals impacted by
opioid use to receive peer support.

As one part of Georgia's response to the opioid epidemic in the State, The CARES Warm-line is funded by Georgia's Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) through SAMHSA's "State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis" grant program.  We are grateful for this opportunity and are looking for CARES to join our team!  This opportunity is one of many to come, so please check back with us regularly.

This person will be responsible for scheduling and coordination of services for five Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialists (CARES) providing warm-line peer support to persons in or seeking recovery, and/or family members, friends, and allies.

·    Two of the individual responders on the warm-line will work full-time (40 hours) on-site at the GCSA home office and three will work part-time (up to 30 hours) remotely.
·    Build relationships with partners and stakeholders to identify resources and recovery supports throughout Georgia.
·    Provide individual and group training and performance management for the CARES responding to warm-line calls and ensure the principles and values of recovery and GCSA are upheld in all aspects of services provided to individuals, family members, friends, and allies.
·    Direct supervisory or management experience working in an organization is required.  
·    A valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle are required.
